We don’t give up easily. And we are absolutely not done fighting to stop the Big Utility Tax. We hope you're not done fighting either.
Please join us in Sacramento to protest against the big Utility Tax on Thursday, May 9th from 11am-12 noon.
On that day, the CA Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) is expected to vote on their Big Utility Tax proposal. They are meeting one block from the State Capitol, allowing us to do two things with one event:
- Draw media attention to the CPUC's Big Utility Tax and how it will increase bills on four million households—renters, solar users, seniors, and others with a small energy footprint.
- Increase pressure on the Legislature to protect the public and rein in the Big Utility Tax. There is still plenty of time for legislators to take action. Where there’s a will, there’s a way!
The more people that attend, the more likely that the media covers the protest, ensuring that millions of Californians learn about the Utility Tax and in turn, demand our lawmakers take action. We hope you can attend!
